Where City and Countryside meet

What does the city have to do with the countryside? Last year, together with the Storytelling Center, the Van Eesteren Museum started a storytelling project about the relationship between the city and the countryside in Nieuw-West, Amsterdam. Many residents of Nieuw-West have a rural past, whether that be in West Friesland, Brabant, Anatolia, or the Rif. The stories have been compiled into a single podwalk that takes exactly as long as a walk around the Sloterplas right next to the museum.
