What are the Master students of the Built Environment at the Eindhoven University of Technology doing? To present the bold, diverse, and fearless work of the current enthusiastic and hardworking generation, TU/e proudly rolls out a Surtout de Table — reviving an old tradition, but with a sharp contemporary twist. If in the late 1600s, these monumental table centerpieces dazzled with miniature Roman cities, their temples, colonnades, and triumphal arches perched on ornate pedestals, celebrating power and splendor, today, on their table, you will encounter the fresh, urgent, and unapologetically contemporary work of every TU/e master design studio. Over six intense months, each studio has tackled a distinct theme, diving deep into pressing questions and future challenges. The result? A spectacular array of design models, each with its own fierce style and unapologetic attitude, ready to take their place at the center of attention. This is no passive display. These models demand your gaze, spark your imagination, and provoke your curiosity. They stand together, shoulder to shoulder, on our grand dinner table — a feast not of food, but of ideas, vision, and possibility.
