Skizzenwerk Zeitgeist
Skizzenwerk is a series of lectures at the architecture department of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. In 2018, the event series focused on the theme "future-oriented, sustainable and unconventional architecture", which led to the title "Zeitgeist". This refers to architecture that attempts to change society's thinking with regard to renewable energies and sustainable materials, possibly even rediscovering and revolutionizing them. I won a preceding design competition and worked out the graphics for posters, tote bags, stickers, etc. in close collaboration with the Skizzenwerk team. The goal was to create a visual identity that could be applied to various posters and merchandise. The design contains many references to architecture, the previous Skizzenwerk lecture series, and even the location of the architecture faculty. The colors of the posters are inspired by a painting by Max Bill. In the immediate vicinity of the faculty of architecture there are some sculptures by the swiss architect, artist and graphic designer, who himself is considered a progressive thinker, and thus he serves perfectly as a source of inspiration for a discursive series of events. Thanks for the great collaboration! @skizzenwerk @kitarchitektur
