MULTI EXPO 2022

Exhibition - visual identity The Multi is a project in the third year of the Bachelor of the department of Built Environment and the first encounter with the world of integrated design. Today’s building demands have become increasingly complex which necessitates the department of Built Environment to prepare students for a practice in which they are ready to cooperate in design teams in close interaction with all disciplines. The Multi-project is a practical assignment designed to train students in solving problems with a high level of complexity. An additional goal is teaching students how to cooperate in a team in which every student takes responsibility for a specific domain. This year Multi focuses on an area in the Breda city Centre, known as ‘Achter de Lange Stallen or ‘Mols parking’. It has for decades had a practical use as a parking area, furnishing its owners with a decent revenue although there have been numerous attempts to develop it into a more attractive part of town which also earns a higher revenue than parking fees; the last attempt having been aborted in 2013. Photos of the place were visually manipulated and used as backgrounds for posters, flyers and monitors. The graphical change hints at the transformation the place must undergo to become more attractive to residents. @casavrt @tueindhoven
